Mexicano
Mexicano is a dynamic tournament format inspired by Kings Court. Players are continuously re-matched based on their current ranking, which leads to more evenly balanced games as the tournament progresses.
After each round, players are ranked according to their results. The next round is then generated so that players with similar performance face each other, creating competitive and engaging matches for everyone.
Unlike a normal Americano, Mexicano adapts in real time. Strong players gradually move up to higher courts, while players who struggle are matched together, reducing one-sided games.
Tip: Mexicano works especially well when you have an odd number of players. If someone has to sit out, the app will distribute sit-outs as evenly as possible across the tournament.
Good to know: Because the format adapts after every round, Mexicano is perfect for groups with mixed skill levels where you want fair and competitive games throughout the event.
