Club Mexicano
Club Mexicano is Mexicano played between two clubs or groups. Every player belongs to one club and competes for their own individual ranking, while the club totals show which club is ahead.
You always partner a player from your own club and face a pair from the other club. The first round is drawn at random. After that, players are ranked within their own club, and the top two in Club A play the top two in Club B, the next two play the next two, and so on.
As the tournament goes on, you meet players at your own level, so the matches get closer every round. Whenever the standings allow it, the app avoids giving you the same partner two rounds in a row.
Requirements: Club Mexicano requires two clubs with an equal number of players, at least four per club.
Good to know: If not everyone fits on the courts, the players who have played the fewest matches play in the next round, so sit-outs are shared evenly.
Tip: This format is ideal for inter-club nights where you want club versus club, close matches all evening and still an individual winner.
